Gianluca Melis:Craftsman's Passion at Your Service
I'm Gianluca Melis — IT technician, workshop in Polegge (Vicenza). Behind Il Garage dei PC there's one person who answers the phone directly, follows every job from start to finish, and stands behind their work.
My Story
I'm 29 and I've been taking computers apart since I was 14. I trained at a technical high school (ITIS) and then took the Cisco course, which I earned by winning a scholarship.
Then almost ten years as an employee in shops, labs and tech support: bench work, systems, networks, homes and businesses. That's where I learned the trade — and saw the side of it I could never accept: a customer walks in with a PC that has a problem and walks out with a crazy quote designed to make him buy a new one. Repairing takes effort; selling new is easier. And after the checkout nobody follows the customer anymore — I still get PCs from other shops that never worked properly.
Il Garage dei PC is my answer to that. The name says it: in a garage things get fixed, not thrown away — true for engines, I'm into mechanics too, and true for PCs. I opened as a freelancer in April 2026, and the lab has grown through word of mouth and reviews.
I'm not just a repair guy: I'm a systems administrator and I can code. So I look at a problem from every angle — hardware, operating system, network — instead of swapping parts at random. And I'm a gamer before I'm a builder: I build your machine as if I were going to play on it. Right now I'm bringing 20-year-old Windows XP PCs to Windows 10, hunting compatible drivers for every single component, for a project I really care about.
I do this out of passion, for real. Don't take my word for it: read the reviews.
I don't have 20 technicians — it's just me. You always know who you're dealing with.

- ▸Microscope — for joints you can't see with the naked eye.
- ▸Oscilloscope and multimeter — to measure, not guess.
- ▸Ultrasonic bath — for wet or corroded boards.
- ▸Bench power supply — to power a board safely and find shorts.

How I Work
These are my principles. No compromises.
Real Repairs
I don't swap parts at random hoping to get lucky. I do a precise diagnosis, find the problem, fix it. If it can't be repaired, I tell you immediately.
Genuine Passion
It's not just a job. I genuinely love what I do. Every gaming PC I build, every complex repair I solve — it's personal satisfaction.
Zero Fluff
I tell you what it costs, how long it takes, exactly what I'll do. I explain everything in plain words, no hidden costs, no impossible promises.
The Workshop
My workshop is in Polegge, a district of Vicenza (close to Camp Ederle / USAG Italy). It's fully equipped to diagnose and repair PCs, laptops, and consoles: soldering station, testers, workbench, spare parts in stock.
I work by appointment or with flexible hours — if you need to come outside regular working hours, just say so. For businesses I also travel on-site across Vicenza and province.
